Wow! I got the Szechuan hot chicken sandwich (spice level hot). It was perfect. I love spicy food and fried chicken. This was the best of both worlds. The slaw in the sandwich could be eaten by the bucket. It's fresh with a little kick of spice as there are chilis in it. The spice (sichuan peppercorn) from the chicken leaves a little afterburn around your mouth. It's been three hours and my lips are still tingling a little haha. It's a small spot inside so we kinda tailgated in the parking lot. It is worth driving to from the Valley. I will be back.

The food and service was amazing. My fish sandwich, yummy chocolate chip cookie, and lemonade was chef's kiss. It was beautiful experience for my birthday lunch. The service was professional and enjoyable. I looked forward to visiting again.

Daybird is lit as hell. It's definitely worth going out of your way for get the chicken sandwich and whatever the special is tell them I sent you

Daybird is a small spot, but their chicken sandwich comes with a huge piece of crispy fried chicken, practically spilling out of the bun. It's good, with crunchy slaw and tender meat, though I'd say Howlin' Rays still takes the crown for flavor. The fries here are a bit nostalgic--like the taste of McDonald's fries from back in the day, if you remember that vibe. The Fish Filet was surprisingly the standout for me. It's a thick, perfectly fried cod filet that's crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and honestly delicious. But at $20, it feels a bit pricey. I'd say it's worth trying at least once if you're curious. I ordered online and picked it up about 35 minutes later, so their timing was pretty solid.

My friend took me here to try this amazing fish sandwich. The upgrade is a serious one to caviar mixed into the sauce. I just had to try the fish sandwich. One mistake I made is that I had no idea there was a choice- spicy or not spicy. No one asked. Spicy entails dipping the whole piece in chilli oil before frying. It was a surprised because I don't usually do spicy and thankfully it wasn't over the top. The tartar sauce is delicious but it seemed my sandwich did not get the same amount as others being made at the same time. When I asked about the inconsistency in preparation, I was told that if I wanted more, extra tartar sauce was $3. The ambiance is walk in, order and take out. So, we sat in the car and ate this luscious piece of fish sandwich. The fish was thick and the batter absolutely perfect. The entire pieces was well cooked, but moist and delicious. My only issue was that the after taste was chicken flavor which means they cook the fish and chicken in the same fry bin other than that. This is a solid delicious sandwich. Maybe O will upgrade to caviar another time

I've heard about this place and been wanting to go for a while. As the name may suggest, they are known and popular for the fried chicken sandwiches. So of course, I came here specifically for their fried fish sandwich (hot cod). But I would argue that it seems like they are almost as well known for their fish sandwich as well. The place itself is not large (ordering counter and I think some standing counter space to enjoy year meal there) and has simple straightforward menu. The people were very friendly here. Came here for lunch and ordered an iced Hong Kong milk tea to wash down the sando. This drink was very tasty by the way. The sandwich might seem not very cheap, but it does seem like a fair to good deal once you get it. The fish portion is pretty huge. I'm not a small person and I was pretty full after finishing it. The flavors were amazing and the texture was perfect - a nice crisp juxtaposed with a soft bun bite. Just a really well crafted fried fish sandwich. Would definitely love to come back and try the chicken sandwich that so many people seem to love. Parking - there's a small lot for this location, but I have to say, it is located at an awkward corner where it would be difficult (if not illegal) to take a left turn into it. You would have to be travelling north or east to take a right turn into the lot. Pretty stressful intersection if it is a busy time of day.

Came to Daybird with the idea that these sandwiches will taste basic ... but waow I was proven so wrong !! The true star of the show is the fish sandwich (hot cod sando) -- the fish was so smooth and juicy on the inside, yet the outside was crispy. The fish was AMAZING but what was even crazier was the sauce -- CHEESEY YUZU TARTAR SAUCE UGHH I'm still thinking about this meal ! I was saur close to purchasing the astrea kaluga caviar but everyone says it's not worth + you can't even taste the caviar (as a caviar connoisseur this was so hard to say no to xD) We also got the szechuan hot chicken sandwich which was AMAZING too but if you come to daybird you really need to try the fish sandwich for sure. The chicken sandwich was also saur crispy and LOTS and LOTSSS of flavor -- asian flavored inspired sandwich which I lovved. We came to Daybird on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. At 2pm, it's expected to wait a bit for the food. The only thing is I wish they had indoor seating. They have a small area you can eat but you can only stand up which we were iffy about // so we ended up eating in the car. Overall, I will 100% come back -- I'm litcherally still thinking abt the fish sando rn :)

Whoa, best fry on a fish I've ever tasted! Loved the crispy thin coating that even had a kick to it, yum! Their tartar sauce is not the traditional kind, it's kind of sweet, not my fave. I also don't think the sandwich needed the cheese, so next time I am going to ask if they can leave that off. The fish was so incredible though I am still giving this place 5 stars. Parking was easy on a Saturday at lunch time.

Came here to try the fish sandwich cuz I've been hearing a lot about it. For $20, I would say it was worth it! If I ordered fish at a restaurant, they would've easily charged $30 for a small piece. But this was HEFTY. A nice, big piece of cod with a thin layer of breading. I could not finish my sandwich, it made me sooooo full. So, again, good value for the quality and size. I will say: my mind wasn't blown. Either my expectation was too high or it wasn't as flavorful as it should've been bc I didn't get it with spicy sauce. But staff was nice, there was an area to stand and eat. The quality is very good and it didn't taste bad! It is a small place so if it gets crowded, I can imagine you would have to eat in the parking lot.

Brought my mom here to try the fish sandwich and also got the tenders. I had chicken tenders medium and it was pretty spicy! There's no seating, just standing room.
